The project made vaccine booking an immediate process accessible to users of all ages and digital skill levels, while ensuring data security and an optimized mobile-first experience. Client: Careggi Hospital Sector: Public Healthcare Year: 2025 Services: UX & Structure The Project: In a healthcare context where speed and clarity are vital, Careggi Hospital needed a dedicated tool for the vaccination campaign (“Prenoto Vaccino”). The goal was to develop a web platform that democratized access to booking, making it an immediate, secure, and frictionless process for an extremely large and diverse user base. The Challenge: Designing for public healthcare means having to meet much stricter usability requirements than in the private sector. The main critical issues were three: 1. Digital Divide: The typical user ranges from digital natives to the elderly with poor technological skills. The interface had to be "error-proof". 2. Linguistic Barriers: The need to ensure access to care for the entire population required a perfectly integrated multilingual system. 3. Security vs. Usability: Ensuring maximum protection of sensitive data (access via medical record number) without complicating the login process. The Approach: We adopted a radical Mobile-First approach, as most users would access from their smartphones. - Value Communication Strategy: We stripped down the structure to the bare essentials, eliminating any distractions.
