How we revolutionised this Italian startup’s online presence.

OVERVIEW

Mobidoc is Italy’s first online platform connecting specialist practitioners with patients in their own homes. This Northern Italian startup is funded by Regional Funds for Innovative Startups. Mobidoc’s goal is to bring professional private healthcare to the comfort of a patient’s home. This was launched with the intention of bringing healthcare to the elderly, vulnerable, and those with impaired mobility who  would otherwise find it difficult to appear physically at a clinic or doctor’s practice for an appointment. Mobidoc was coming from a bad experience previously with a local software development house. The project had gone over budget, had exceeded its timeline, and wasn’t delivered to Mobidoc’s specifications or expectations.

OBJECTIVE

Mobidoc wanted to become the first private online medical service available in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy. They aimed to connect special medical practitioners with patients who are unable to leave their homes and required specialised medical treatment.

CHALLENGE

Mobidoc needed to get their project up and running fast, effectively, and with a trusted partner that they could count on to deliver. They required an overhaul of their web application, social media management, and paid ads to get their name out.

APPROACH

We at Social Horizon Marketing stepped in, taking control and overturning Mobidoc’s dismal situation. We managed their social media platforms, increasing their following and engagement. We soon increased customer retention and interests creating a few hot leads and a community around Mobidoc’services.

We re-developed from zero the web application from both frontend and backend, created an admin dashboard to monitor and control the platform, created booking visibility and a payment gateway through PayPal, and launched a Google Ads campaign.

Within the first 6 months of it’s launch, SHM had helped Mobidoc register and onboard 13 doctors, each having made over 60 visits through the platform, and had registered 100+ new patients. This has significantly changed the region’s access to healthcare.
