Development of a fully custom Shopify e-commerce to enhance Daniela De Marchi's artisanal identity. The project simplified the management of the many product variants and created an elegant, fluid shopping experience consistent with the brand's premium positioning.
The previous site failed to fully represent the strong identity of the brand, known for its unique “Dropage” texture and customizable jewelry in color combinations.
The goal was to create a tailored Shopify platform that could:
- Expressing the craft character of the brand
- Effectively manage the complexity of variants
- Provide a smooth, elegant shopping experience consistent with brand positioning
The main challenge lay in balancing aesthetics with technical functionality. The catalog presented an extremely complex matrix of variations (models, stones, finishes, colors) that risked causing confusion. It was necessary to resolve the paradox between:
- Offer richness: Allow the user to explore all possible custom configurations.
- Ease of use: Avoid the cognitive overload typical of complex configurators, maintaining a clean and elegant design.
It was essential to simplify the user experience without sacrificing freedom of choice and product enhancement.
