See what the people and companies who chose us have to say. Their experiences show the value of our work, every day.
Tourism marketing in Emilia-Romagna starts from a fact that anyone running hotels and lodging knows well: the Riviera brings huge volumes, but packed into a few months and into one product, beach holidays, which booking portals sell better than anyone. If you run a hotel group, a spa hotel or a property in an art city, the problem isn't getting seen in August. It's filling rooms in March and November, selling an Apennine stay to people who only know the coast, and convincing international guests to book on your site instead of an OTA.
As a tourism marketing agency, we work with established companies, not individual room renters: chains, multi-property groups, consortia and businesses that already have significant revenue and want more control over their sales channels. We were founded in Milan more than ten years ago, we work with companies across Italy, and on every project you get a senior point of contact, from the first analysis to the review of the results.
If a good share of your revenue depends on the beach season, the first job is building offers that stand on their own: weekends in art cities, food and wine itineraries, spas, walking routes in the Apennines. We turn them into clear pages, packages and messages, and with branding we give each product line a recognizable identity without diluting the group's.
A hotel website has one main job: getting the guest to book in as few steps as possible. We design fast websites with the hotel booking engine cleanly integrated, direct rates clearly visible and content that clears up doubts before the guest goes back to the portal to compare prices.
International guests are the fastest-growing segment, and visitors from abroad search in their own language. We build an SEO strategy language by language, with pages designed for the real searches of travelers in each market, and we handle SEO for AI so you show up even when the itinerary is planned with an assistant.
Campaigns pay off most when spontaneous demand drops. With Google Ads campaigns you cover searches for your property's name and the destination; with Meta campaigns you reach people who have already visited your site or stayed with you, with offers built around the periods when you have empty rooms.
When arrivals grow faster than nights, every stay is shorter and acquiring a guest costs more. That's why we work on what comes after: contact collection, pre-arrival messages offering an extra night, targeted invitations to come back in another season or at another property in the group. With AI and automation you do it without overloading the front office.
In Emilia-Romagna, a tourism business's marketing doesn't stand alone: the Destinazioni Turistiche (tourist destination bodies) promote the area, and some regional grants require joining their programs. We help your channels work in sync with the destination's, so campaigns, content and calendars don't overlap and your budget pulls in the same direction.
According to the 2025 tourism data from the Emilia-Romagna Region, the region surpassed 44.1 million overnight stays (+3.9%) with more than 13.2 million arrivals (+7.8%). The strongest push comes from abroad: 4.17 million international arrivals (+10%) and 14.1 million international overnight stays (+7.9%).
But the region isn't uniform. Demand splits across three main products: the Romagna Riviera, with Rimini, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena and the Ferrara coast; the art cities, from Bologna to Parma, Modena, Ferrara, Ravenna, Reggio Emilia and Piacenza; and the Apennines and spas. The chart shows the provinces with the most overnight stays in 2025 according to the same regional source, and makes clear just how much the coast weighs.
Rimini alone accounts for 15.62 million overnight stays of the regional total: a concentration that ties many hotel groups to a single season and a single type of vacation. Ravenna and Bologna follow almost neck and neck, with 7.24 and 7.18 million, but with very different audiences and seasonality. For anyone doing tourism web marketing in the region, these numbers raise three practical problems:
The answer isn't adding channels at random, but deciding which markets and which periods you want to grow, and measuring every action against those priorities. A group with hotels on the coast and a property in an art city, for example, can use the latter to sell short spring and autumn stays to the same guests who choose the sea in summer, instead of treating them as two separate businesses.
There's also something typical of this region: the Destinazioni Turistiche system, which coordinates the promotion of local areas and affects access to some grants. For an established business, this means planning campaigns and content around your destination's calendar, so you can leverage the visibility the area already generates instead of competing with it for the same attention.
As of 11/02/2026, both the EuReCa Fund for accommodation businesses and the regional tourism marketing call are closed. The EuReCa Fund expired on October 30, 2026 and was dedicated to investments, not marketing. The regional call covers promotion and marketing, and its 2027 edition has not been published yet.
| Tool | Status | Period | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fondo EuReCa - Investments for upgrading, strengthening and diversifying the tourist accommodation offering Emilia-Romagna Region | Closed | opens February 16, 2026, closes October 30, 2026 at 11:55 PM | SMEs running hotels and open-air accommodation: renovation, furnishings, equipment, new services and digital or sustainable solutions. Interest subsidy plus a fixed €10,000, maximum €150,000. Covers investments, not marketing services. |
| Tourism commercialization for 2026 Emilia-Romagna Region (L.R. 4/2016) | Closed | from November 18, 2025 (10:00 AM) to December 18, 2025 (1:00 PM) | Tourism SMEs participating in their Tourist Destination's program: promotion and commercialization projects, funding up to 50%. Covers marketing activities. Annual call: 2027 edition not yet published. |
It helps to be clear about what each tool covers. The EuReCa Fund, which closed on October 30, 2026, supported hotels, RTAs (tourist residences), condhotels and open-air facilities that renovate, buy furnishings and equipment, or introduce new services and digital solutions: an interest subsidy of up to 6% plus a fixed 10,000 euros, with a maximum of 150,000 euros. It is not meant to pay for SEO, campaigns or marketing consulting. The tourism marketing call, on the other hand, covered exactly those promotion and marketing projects, with a grant of up to 50% under de minimis rules. But it was reserved for SMEs that joined the program of their own Tourist Destination, and the window closed on December 18, 2025. Since it is a recurring call, it makes sense to prepare in advance. Just don't treat any expense as eligible until you have read the new text.
The project we're sharing isn't in Emilia-Romagna: Spaesati is a tourism project in Tuscany, and we mention it because it tackles the same challenge as many Emilia-Romagna destinations, namely getting travelers to discover places that aren't their first choice. We handled editorial design, keyword research, SEO, and social media and community management.
There are no published numerical results for this work, so we won't show any. What carries over is the method: start from how people search for a place before they even know it exists, organize content around themes and experiences, and grow a community around that content that shares it. It's the same thinking you need to put the Apennines or a lesser-known art city on the radar of those who today only think of the coast. You'll find the details in the Spaesati portfolio.
Want to know how many more nights you could sell outside the summer season, and from which markets? Book a free 30-minute audit and we'll go through it together, with your data in hand.
Our FAQ section offers clear, concrete answers for anyone who has heard about web agencies and wonders what a team of professionals can really do for them.
Tourism marketing for a hotel covers everything that takes a guest from the first search to a direct booking and, ideally, a second stay: market and seasonality analysis, a hotel website with a booking engine, multilingual hotel SEO, campaigns for low-demand periods, contact management, and communications before and after the stay. For a hotel on the Riviera, the focus is often on extending the season; for a property in an art city, it's on international visibility. We set the priorities after the initial audit, not before.
You need three things working together. Your website must show up when guests search for the destination or your property's name, which means SEO and brand campaigns. It must convince: clear direct rates, real advantages over the booking portal, and a fast booking engine on smartphones too. And it must remember guests who have already stayed with you, with a CRM that invites them back in the right season. Portals are still useful for getting discovered, but they shouldn't be the only door to your rooms, especially in the months far from summer.
It depends on who chooses you today and who you want to reach tomorrow, not on a fixed rule. Italian is essential, and English is the minimum for anyone working with international guests. In 2025, foreign arrivals in the region grew by 10% according to Regione Emilia-Romagna, so it's worth looking at the data in your property management system: if a market already matters, it deserves pages written in its own language, not machine-translated. Better a few well-crafted languages than many neglected ones.
As of 11/02/2026, the EuReCa Fund is CLOSED: it was open from February 16 to October 30, 2026 and covered investments in accommodation facilities, not marketing services. The 2026 tourism marketing call, which funded promotion and marketing up to 50%, is also CLOSED: applications could be submitted from November 18 to December 18, 2025, only for SMEs that joined the Tourist Destination program. The 2027 edition has not been published yet. Before counting on a grant, always check the requirements in the official text.
We start with a free 30-minute audit to understand which properties, markets, and channels drive your revenue today. Then we build a single, coordinated strategy: a group identity, websites or dedicated sections for each property, and an SEO strategy and campaign plan organized by destination and season. You get a senior contact person for the whole project, who coordinates the work and reports results using metrics agreed at the start, from direct bookings to average stay value.
By no longer selling just the sea and building products for the slowest months: spas, art cities, the Apennines, cycling tourism, food and wine, events, and stays for corporate groups. Each product needs dedicated pages, packages with specific dates, and campaigns that start at the right time for markets that travel off-season. With Meta campaigns you can reach people who have already stayed with you and those with interests that match your offer. In Emilia-Romagna it also pays to align your calendar with the initiatives of your Destinazione Turistica, so you're not communicating alone.
