5 Minute Studio

Our logistics company needed to modernize its digital approach to stay competitive. A trusted contact recommended SHM Studio, a web agency in Milan, and after an initial consultation we decided to move forward. Their team delivered a complete digital audit, redesigned our website to improve usability and implemented an SEO strategy that quickly improved our search engine rankings. They also set up analytics tools so we could track results. The improvements in our online visibility and lead generation were clear and measurable. I recommend SHM Studio to any company looking for expert digital guidance and concrete results.

For many Piedmont manufacturers, B2B marketing has always been a side issue: customers came from the automotive supply chain, industry trade fairs or word of mouth between purchasing departments. Today that supply chain is slowing down, some districts are losing exports, and companies that want to work with new sectors, from aerospace to food, need to be found by buyers they don't know, who compare suppliers online before asking for a quote, often in another language.

We work with established companies in mechanics, machinery, metals, chemicals and electronics, from the Turin area to Biella, from Cusio to Monferrato. On every project you get a senior person as your direct contact, who talks with your technical office and your sales team and turns your company's expertise into tools that generate qualified inquiries.

What we offer companies looking for B2B marketing

Mapping new markets

Diversifying doesn't mean chasing every sector. We analyze your expertise, your current customers and what buyers search for to understand where your processes have the most value, in which countries and with which arguments. If your company changes audience, we also rework identity and messaging through branding, without losing the reputation built over years of subcontracting.

Technical catalogs for foreign distributors

Faucets, valves, components: if you sell through distributors, you need complete, downloadable, well-translated product sheets. We turn them into indexable pages inside multilingual websites, with filters for specifications, certifications and applications, so the distributor finds the right code without writing to your sales office and your salesperson receives inquiries that are already precise.

B2B portal and B2B e-commerce

Spare parts, consumables and recurring reorders take up sales time that is worth more elsewhere. A B2B portal with private price lists, order history and documentation, or a B2B e-commerce store for standard products, lets customers order on their own and frees your salespeople for new negotiations and for customers who truly need consulting.

3D configurator and company videos

A customizable machine sells better when the customer can see it. We design 3D configurators as web apps that guide the buyer all the way to a quote request with the data already filled in, and company videos that show departments, testing and quality control to those who can't visit the plant.

Measurable B2B lead generation

With LinkedIn campaigns aimed at purchasing managers, technical offices and plant directors in specific sectors, and with ads on product searches, you generate inquiries even far from trade fairs. Every contact is tracked back to the campaign that brought it in, so you know what a sales opportunity really costs.

Visibility in technical searches and AI assistants

Engineers search for solutions, not supplier names. With an SEO strategy we build content around buyers' technical questions, while SEO for AI makes your company citable when someone asks an assistant who makes a certain component. We start from the questions your technical office receives most often: they're the same ones buyers type into search engines.

Piedmont manufacturing: falling exports and new supply chains

According to Unioncamere Piemonte (March 2026, based on Istat data), in 2025 Piedmont exported goods worth €61,790,088,682. But the picture for key sectors is not positive: mechanics lost 4.2%, transport equipment 2.6% and motor vehicles 11.2%. For automotive subcontractors it means one thing: diversify customers and markets, and get found by buyers in other sectors. It takes time, which is why it's best to start before falling orders become an emergency.

€1.1 bnExports of Piedmont's aerospace hub, Jan-Sep 2025Intesa Sanpaolo

The chart shows the weight of the main manufacturing sectors in regional exports for 2025, again according to Unioncamere Piemonte: transport equipment and mechanics remain far in the lead, followed by chemicals, rubber and plastics, metals and electrical equipment.

At the district level the slowdown is even sharper. The Intesa Sanpaolo Monitor of Districts (January 2026) records a 26.2% drop in the first 9 months of 2025 for Industrial Refrigerators in Casale Monferrato, 14.9% for Textile Machinery in Biella and 9.8% for Machine Tools and Industrial Robots in Turin. Not everyone is retreating: Cusio-Valsesia Faucets and Valves exported €1,204 million between January and September 2025, up 5.4%, competing on foreign markets with catalogs and distributor networks. The same report also covers Omegna Housewares and the Turin ICT Hub.

The most interesting signal, and the most useful for anyone who needs to diversify, comes from aerospace. According to Unioncamere Piemonte its exports grew 2.4% in 2025; Intesa Sanpaolo estimates €1,055 million in exports for the Piedmont aerospace hub in the first 9 months of the year, and Regione Piemonte (May 2026) credits the Aerospace District with 35,000 employees. Many mechanical SMEs are trying to reposition themselves as qualified suppliers to this supply chain, also supported by regional innovation clusters such as MESAP.

For your marketing, this translates into clear priorities. If your company sells to a single sector, you need an online presence that also speaks to buyers in other sectors. If you export through distributors, the multilingual catalog becomes your first salesperson. If you're aiming at aerospace, certifications, processes and quality controls must be visible and documented, not buried in a PDF.

Timing matters too. An aerospace buyer or a foreign distributor rarely contacts you on the first visit: they read the product sheets, download documentation, compare several suppliers and come back to the site weeks later, perhaps with a colleague from the quality department. If along the way they find precise answers, references and a simple way to request a quote, your company makes the shortlist. If they find a website that's years out of date, you drop out of the selection without ever knowing.

The Linea A incentives from the Region and Finpiemonte cover digitalization and process efficiency: the official page doesn't list marketing, websites or CRM among eligible expenses, so we don't assume they cover these services. The Voucher digitalizzazione PMI 2026 is only for micro, small and medium-sized businesses, with a grant of 50% to 70% and a cap of €25,000: it covers technologies such as AI, cloud, cybersecurity and software, allows consulting only up to 30% of expenses and excludes campaigns and advertising. It can make sense for a portal or an AI-based automation, never for paying for ads. Always check the text of the call.

Case study: Miba, precision metalwork

Miba is a precision metalwork company, a sector very close to Piedmont's mechanical subcontracting. We worked on web design, SEO, multilingual content strategy and UX, with one clear goal: to make its processes stand out in the searches of people who are genuinely looking for that kind of supplier.

The results published in our portfolio are +245% organic traffic, +211% keywords in the top 10, +24% in keyword rankings and 49% of pages indexed. It's the same method we'd bring to a company in the Biella area or the Cusio: understand how buyers describe your processes, build pages that answer those searches in multiple languages, and make it easy to go from the page to a quote request. We don't promise the same numbers to every company: they depend on your starting point, your market and your competition. What we do promise is the same rigor in the work and in the measurement. You can find the project in the Miba portfolio.

FAQ

Our FAQ section offers clear, concrete answers for anyone who has heard about web agencies and wonders what a team of professionals can really do for them.

It includes analyzing the markets where your expertise is worth the most, multilingual websites and technical catalogs that search engines can index, B2B portals or e-commerce for recurring orders, 3D configurators and videos to showcase machines and processes, LinkedIn and Google Ads campaigns to generate quote requests, and SEO built around buyers' technical questions. You don't need to launch everything at once: in a free 30-minute audit we work out which levers make sense for your products and where to start.

Trade shows are still where deals are sealed with a handshake, but they last only a few days. B2B marketing works before, during and after: before, it brings the right contacts to your booth with targeted campaigns and invitations; during, it captures leads in an organized way; after, it follows up with content and messages that keep the conversation going. In the months without events, your website and campaigns keep generating inquiries, so trade shows become an accelerator and not your company's only sales channel.

It depends on the levers. LinkedIn and Google Ads campaigns can bring the first inquiries within a few weeks, once the right messages are found. SEO and technical content take longer, usually a few months, but they build a flow of leads that doesn't stop when you switch off the ads. And in industrial sales cycles, time passes between the first contact and the order: that's why we also measure quote requests and open opportunities, not just closed deals.

As of 10/22/2026, the Linea A Digitalizzazione from Regione and Finpiemonte is OPEN: applications can be submitted from 9:00 a.m. on October 13, 2026 until 12:00 p.m. on October 29, 2028, but the official page doesn't list marketing, websites or CRM among eligible expenses. The Voucher digitalizzazione PMI 2026 is also OPEN, with applications from 11 a.m. on October 22 to 4 p.m. on December 15, 2026: SMEs only, up to €25,000, campaigns excluded. Always check the requirements in the call for applications.

We have experience in technical manufacturing, as the Miba case in precision metalwork shows, and we apply the same method to Piedmontese companies in mechanics, components and machinery. We were founded in Milan more than ten years ago and work with companies all over Italy: the region changes the markets and reference districts, not the way we work. You always have a senior contact who oversees strategy, website and campaigns with no middlemen.

By shifting the story from your long-standing client to your capabilities. If you've mostly worked for automotive so far, a buyer in aerospace, food or industrial machinery wants to know what you can do for them: processes, materials, tolerances, certifications, production capacity and quality control. That's why we organize your website by applications and target sectors, with pages that use the language of people buying in that market. For a company in Piedmont looking to diversify, this is the decisive step: you don't change what you make, you change how you get found and how you explain it.
