Doing tourism marketing in Veneto means selling to very different audiences, often in the same season: the German family looking for the lake, the American couple heading to Venice, those booking thermal baths for a long weekend. Each searches in a different language, compares prices on different platforms, and decides at different times. If you manage a hotel group, a chain, or multiple properties in different areas of the region, you don't lack demand: the point is how much of that demand actually reaches your website and how much, instead, goes through a portal or ends up in a short-term rental apartment.
Our work starts here: figuring out where demand is generated for each of your destinations and what is currently stopping you from turning it into directly booked nights. From there, we build the website, content, SEO, and campaigns as a single system, measured on bookings rather than visits, with a senior expert as your direct point of contact from analysis to results.
Venice, the Verona shore of Lake Garda, the thermal baths of the Euganean Hills, and Verona as a city of art attract different guests for different reasons. If you manage multiple properties, let us define priority markets, messaging, and channels for each, and establish what remains common at the group level. That way, your budget goes where the demand actually exists, not where it has always gone out of habit.
An hotel website needs to do one thing really well: get the guest to book. We design Websites fast, clear on conditions, and connected to a hotel booking engine that doesn't make the guest get lost between steps. Every room, package, and service has a page designed for someone comparing your price with the portal's.
Translating your website isn't enough: an Austrian guest and an American one search using different words, expectations, and references. With a SEO Strategy built market by market, we oversee searches for the destination and services, and with the SEO for AI we work so that the property shows up even when the traveler asks an assistant for advice.
Anyone searching for your hotel's name shouldn't end up on an OTA. With the google ads campaigns we monitor brand and destination searches; with the Meta campaigns we reach those who are still choosing where to go, in the countries your guests come from. Every booking is tracked right back to the campaign that generated it.
Short-term rental apartments compete for the same audience as hotel rooms, often with lower rates. The answer is not to chase them on cost, but to make what you offer extra clear: services, hospitality, breakfast, local experiences. We tell this story through content, photography, and social media that give guests a concrete reason to choose you and to book directly from your website.
A group with properties in different provinces runs the risk of looking like a bunch of disconnected hotels. With Branding we bring consistency to the brand without flattening the individual destinations; with AI and automation we handle inquiries, quotes, and pre-stay messages in multiple languages without weighing down the front desk, so they can focus on taking care of guests at the property.
Veneto is a diverse tourism region with multiple identities. The four key areas that matter most for structured hospitality are: Venice, the Verona shore of Lake Garda, the UNESCO Euganean Hills with the thermal baths of Abano and Montegrotto, and Verona as a city of art. In 2025, according to the Federal Tourism Observatory of Unioncamere Veneto (2026), the region recorded 22,269,683 arrivals and 74,157,123 overnight stays. These numbers show a large demand, but also fierce competition: in every one of these areas, hotels, groups, apartments, and portals are fighting for the same travelers, often using the same photos and the same talking points. Standing out takes clear positioning, not just more visibility.
The data that weighs most heavily on marketing choices is where guests come from: according to the 2026 Statistical Report of the Veneto Region , international visitors account for 70.7% of overnight stays. For a Veneto accommodation, the domestic market is just a part of the demand, not the core. Then there is the pace: in 2025 arrivals grew by 2.34%, while stays increased by only 0.93%. More guests are staying for shorter periods: to keep revenues up, you need to work on length of stay, average spend, and direct sales, not just the number of arrivals.
Furthermore, demand is not evenly distributed across the region. The visitor numbers by province, in the Istat data reported by 2026 Tourism Report by the Verona Chamber of Commerce , they show just how far ahead Venice and Verona are compared to the rest of the region:
Two caveats about the numbers. The 2025 figures are provisional and, from 2025, statistics also include non-entrepreneurial short-term rentals, as indicated in the methodological note of the report itself: comparisons with previous years should be read with caution. However, that note also tells a market fact: short-term rentals are now direct competitors to hotels on the platforms. For a hotel group, this means defending the direct channel with arguments that an apartment cannot offer: services, flexibility, language assistance, organized local experiences. And it means using its own booking data to decide which markets and periods to push, instead of relying solely on portal dynamic pricing.
As of 06/10/2026, there are no open regional calls for proposals dedicated to tourism marketing. The only specific tool for tourism we checked, the regional call for participation in international trade fairs, closed on 07/10/2025.
| Tool | Status | Period | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Call for applications to participate in international trade fairs for the promotion of regional tourism and cultural offerings - 2nd Edition (Action 1.3.10 Sub B) Veneto Region | Closed | opening 08/05/2025 10:00 AM; closing 10/07/2025 05:00 PM | Tourism SMEs present at the regional stands at TTG Rimini 2025 and WTM London 2025: non-repayable grant for trade fairs. It does not cover digital marketing. |
It's worth figuring out what that call for applications actually covered, because it's often misunderstood: a non-repayable grant under the de minimis rule, reserved for tourism SMEs with stands in the regional areas at TTG Rimini 2025 and/or WTM London 2025, with a total budget of 260,000.00 euros. It only covered trade fair participation, not websites, SEO, ad campaigns, or other digital marketing services. If a new edition or a different call comes out in the future, we'll check the official text with you before you spend a dime: we never assume anything is eligible unless the call explicitly says so.
Spaesati is a tourism project in Tuscany, so another region and another type of traveler compared to those who choose Venice or Lake Garda. Our work involved keyword research, SEO, editorial design, social media, and community care. Numbers for this project haven't been published, so you won't find them here: we prefer to tell you how we worked.
The method is the one we would apply to a Venetian property: study how travelers actually search for a place, group articles by experiences and seasons, and grow a community around the place that keeps coming back and recommending it. For a group with multiple destinations it is even more useful, because each area has its own audience and its own words: those looking for thermal baths do not use the same terms as those looking for a hotel near St. Mark's Square, and a good editorial plan takes both into account. You can find the project in Spaesati portfolio .
How many of the room nights you sell through intermediaries today could go through your direct channel? Book a free 30-minute audit and let's look at your sales channels together.
The FAQ section was created to offer clear and concrete answers to those who, hearing about web agencies, might wonder what benefits they can truly gain from a team of professionals.
It includes market analysis of where your guests come from, a hotel website with an integrated booking engine, content and SEO in the languages that matter, campaigns on searches related to your name and destination, social media and review management, and automations to respond to requests. In Veneto, the international aspect is particularly important because the majority of overnight stays are by foreign guests. You don't need to activate everything at once: with a free 30-minute audit, we can identify the levers that can drive more bookings to your direct channel.
Working on the moments when the guest decides. Before: being found when they search for a destination, with SEO and content in their language. During: a website that shows the benefits of booking directly from you and a frictionless booking engine. After: campaigns on your property name, so that those who search for you by name don't end up on an OTA. With the growth of short-term rentals on platforms, it's also important to explain what you offer that's better than an apartment. OTAs are still useful for getting discovered, but they shouldn't be your only entry point.
It depends on your guests, not on a one-size-fits-all rule. Regional data shows that international visitors account for 70.7% of overnight stays (Veneto Region, 2026), so Italian alone is almost never enough. Let's start with the data you already have, like where your bookings come from and website searches, and choose the languages worth investing in with carefully crafted content, not machine translations. It's better to have a few well-done languages, with pages and keywords tailored for that market, than many weak versions that no one finds.
As of 10/06/2026, we haven't found any open regional calls for tourism marketing. The Veneto Region call for participation in international trade fairs (Action 1.3.10 Sub B, 2nd edition) is CLOSED: it was open from 08/05/2025 to 10/07/2025 and only funded the presence of tourism SMEs in the regional booths at TTG Rimini 2025 and WTM London 2025, not digital marketing services. Funding rules change often: always check the requirements in the official text of any new call before deciding to invest.
Your point of contact is a senior professional who follows the work from start to finish and takes full personal responsibility. For a group with properties in different areas, for example one on Lake Garda and one in an art city, we set up a common strategy and specific plans for each destination: markets, languages, campaigns, and content. We were founded in Milan over ten years ago and work with companies throughout Italy; for Veneto, you can also find dedicated insights on Padua and Verona. We start with a free 30-minute audit, which leads to a tourism marketing plan with clear priorities.
It's measured on bookings, not visits. We connect your website, booking engine, and campaigns so every direct booking is tracked back to the channel that generated it: organic search, Google Ads, Meta, or social. For a group with multiple properties in the Veneto region, the data needs to be analyzed destination by destination, because a hotel on Lake Garda and one in an art city have different markets and booking windows. We also check how many nights come through the direct channel compared to OTAs and where your guests are coming from, so your budget goes where it actually pays off.
